Before his elevation to the role of Deputy Director-General, Ing. Yamson served as the Director of Engineering at GBC. His deep understanding of broadcasting infrastructure has been essential to the corporation’s transition from analogue to digital systems.
He frequently represents the corporation in a “Deputy Chief Executive” capacity, conducting regional tours to monitor the efficiency of GBC’s district and regional stations, such as Krachi Radio and Radio Upper West.
On several occasions, including in 2019, he served as the Acting Director-General before the substantive appointment of Prof. Amin Alhassan, ensuring institutional stability during leadership transitions.
